Class 10 Maths Chapters

Chapter 1 – Real Numbers

In the NCERT book of CBSE Class 10 Mathematics Chapter 1, there are four exercises. These exercises are comprising of questions related to Euclid’s division lemma, HCF and LCM, rational/irrational numbers, fractions to decimals and decimals to a fraction.

 

Chapter 2 – Polynomials

There are four exercises in the Class 10 Maths Chapter 2. This Chapter contains questions related to finding polynomials, Relationship between zeros and coefficient of a Polynomial, division algorithms for polynomials with real coefficients, finding a quadratic polynomial, finding zeros of polynomials

  

Chapter 3– Pairs of Linear Equations in Two Variables

In these chapters of NCERT of CBSE Class 10 Mathematics, you will find seven exercises present in Chapter 3. The questions will be based on concepts like linear equations in two variables, Geometric Representation of different possibilities of solutions, Algebraic methods for solving linear equations: elimination method, cross-multiplication method, Simple Situational Problem and Problems on equations reducible to a pair of linear equations.

 

Chapter 4 – Quadratic Equations

Chapter 4 of NCERT CBSE Class 10 problems includes four exercises on quadratic equations. The Exercise includes questions based on concepts of finding roots of quadratic equations using standard form ax2+bx+c=0, (a≠0) and convert world problem into quadratic equations and relationship between discriminant and nature of roots. This chapter consists of 4 exercises based on different methods to solve quadratic equations.

 

Chapter 5 – Arithmetic Progressions

There are four exercises in the NCERT CBSE Class 10 book for Chapter 5 questions based on arithmetic progressions. These questions are based on finding nth terms and sum of nth terms.

 

Chapter 6 – Triangles

Solve problems related to the properties of triangles in this Chapter. There are six exercises in the NCERT Class 10 Chapter 6 section of the book. This chapter contains 6 exercises that are based on properties of triangles and 9 important theorems which are crucial in scoring good marks in CBSE Class 10 Exams. 

 

Chapter 7 – Coordinate Geometry

There are 4 exercises in this chapter which has questions based on concepts of co-ordinate geometry, finding the distance between two points using their coordinates and more through, Section formula and Mid-point formula. Also, include analytic geometry whose concepts are very useful to solve geometric problems asked in geometry and algebra.

 

Chapter 8 – Introduction to Trigonometry

This helps you to understand how to tackle problems based on trigonometric ratios of the angle. This chapter consists of 4 exercises comprising of questions based on trigonometric ratios of specific angles, trigonometric identities and trigonometric ratios of complementary angles.

 

Chapter 9 – Some applications of Trigonometry

This chapter includes the applications of Trigonometry as per the CBSE Class 10 syllabus in the NCERT books. Here we learn to solve questions based on the heights and distances of various objects.

 

Chapter 10 – Circles

Chapter 13 – Surface Areas and Volumes

In CBSE class 10, the ‘Surface Areas and Volumes’ chapter is a part of the mensuration unit. The NCERT Grade 10 Maths Chapter 13 will help you to practice the problems based on:

Surface Area and Volume of Cubes, Cuboid, Spheres, Hemispheres, Right Circular Cylinders/Cones and frustum of a cone.

 

Chapter 14 – Statistics

This Chapter helps you to learn how to find mean, mode or median of grouped data. Solve questions by understanding the concept of cumulative frequency distribution.

 

Chapter 15 – Probability

This chapter helps you to understand the following concepts:

• Classical definition of probability.
• Simple problems on single events, not using set notations.
